Born and raised across Mexico City, Acapulco, and England, Alex was shaped by a diverse, bicultural upbringing. Her profound connection to Oaxacan cuisine began early, rooted in the kitchen of her childhood nanny and cook, Martita, who instilled in her a lifelong reverence for traditional ingredients. She began collaborating with Susana Trilling and Seasons of My Heart in 2009, turning her deep passion into cooking.
